Hand Arm Vibration
"Defined as acceleration and measured using an accelerometer"
  • Hand Arm Vibration (HAV) exposure is measured in accordance with the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005. Other vibration surveys are also undertaken, including ground vibration, assessed in accordance with BS 6472 'Guide to evaluation of human exposure to vibration in buildings (1 Hz to 80 Hz)'.
    -
  • We offer assistance in assessing employees “trigger time” and evaluating the risks without undertaking actual monitoring.
    -
  • Where monitoring is necessary, then we offer state of the art vibration measurements to determine vibration magnitudes transferred from the hand tool to the hand. From the information gathered we can ascertain usage times and the effects of combined tool use.
