"Sources of infection within operating
theatres"
- Sampling of air is undertaken with volumetric slit samplers where a known volume of air is impacted upon an agar medium. Bacteriological colonies are counted after incubation and results are in colony forming units.
-
- Both conventional and ultraclean operating theatres can be tested with more strict standards applicable to the ultraclean testing method, which includes particle counting.
